I love it when a sequel is better than the original. Spider-Man
2 is more eye candy, about 1/4 the cheese, and more story.
I have never read the Spider-Man comic books, but I am told
that this movie better explains a man with four mechanical
arms and why he's pissed off than the comic books ever did.
Which is good, because I think I'd be a little pissed myself
if the explanation was 'science experiment...opps...he fucked
up...fire...fused...now he's evil.'
Kirsten Dunst has a new hair style, but is as hot as ever.
She has polished her acting skills quite a bit since the last
adventure, and oh yes! I almost forgot--gratuitous
wet Kirsten is back for the second film and our viewing
pleasure.
James Franco's evil gets to come out and play a little in
this film, and I'm sure that once they whip out the third
movie his schizophrenia will have taken over completely. Yay!
Tobey Maguire is still a badass, though Peter Parker falters
a little as he faces some serious superhero issues after two
years of saving the city's ass. Watch how he grows! (Movies
can be fun AND educational!)
Anyway, all that really matters is that the pretty flashing
colors and sounds stimulate all the right parts of our monkey
brains. See this movie. It is good for you.
